opened in April 2006, is located a few steps away from the Arch of Triumph & the National Amusement Park in the Buksae area. It is at the heart of the commercial centre of city, on the second floor, right next to several hard currency shops & high end restaurants. The area, also known by many as the “Japanese Area” is the home of many Koreans who were taken to work in Japan during the occupation. In the 1960s, under the initiative of the government, they returned to Korea and were given housing facilities here. Today, it is considered to be the wealthiest area of Pyongyang.
